“Rails Girls”は 2 日間かけて開催する非営利イベントで、女性をターゲットに、ソフトウェアを通じたものづくりへ足を 踏み出す最初の一歩として素晴しい体験を提供しようという意気込みで、世界各国の都市で開催されています。
東京・京都・札幌に続き、2013年11月22日（金）、23日（土）の2日間、 RailsGirls Matsueが行われました！
“Rails Girls” is a non-profit two days event for women. It has held all over the world in order to provide for women to have first awesome step for making things with software.
Following to Tokyo, Kyoto, Sapporo, we had “RailsGirls Matsue” from November 22 to 23, 2013!

- Ruby開発者のまつもとゆきひろ氏によるオープニング講演
Opening speech by Ruby Developer “Yukihiro Matsumoto”.
- Railsとは何？を簡単に学べる座学
Understandable Lecture about Rails.
＜参加者チーム＞ Team of Participants
- 経験や持ち込みPCにより6チーム
6 teams divided by their experiences or their PCs.
- チーム名は宝石の名前
Team name depends on jewels.
- 1チーム4～5人でコーチは3人ずつ
3 couches for one team (4～5people).
＜1日目＞DAY ONE
インストール・デー INSTALL DAY
必要なソフトウェア・ツールをインストールすると同時に参加者同士の顔合わせとなる日です。はじめましての挨拶・乾杯からはじまり、各チームわいわいと楽しみながら、持ち込みPCに環境をセットアップしました。
Girls installed necessary software and tools. Starting from cheers, each teams enjoyed with first-meet team members.
最後はもちろん、Friday Hugで締めくくり！
Finally, closing with “ Friday Hug ”!
＜2日目＞DAY TWO
オープニング公演 Opening Speech
Rubyのお父さん、まつもとゆきひろ氏が登壇。『プログラム・魔法』をキーワードに素敵なお話が聞けて最高に贅沢な時間を過ごしました。
Ruby’s father “Yukihiro Matsumoto” was coming! His speech was based on two key word “Program” and “Magic”. We had really rich time.
自分のWebアプリを作ってみる Creating our own Web application
『どうして、そうなるの？』素朴な疑問をコーチにぶつけて、自分流アプリケーションを真剣に作成するGirls達。最年少の中学生ペアも大変頑張りました◎
“Why it comes out?” Girls asked simple questions to their coach.
The youngest participants (junior high school students) did a good job!
休憩タイム Break time
Girls達もそれぞれの楽しみ方で過ごしました。
Girls spent their time with their team mate.
ライトニングトークス Lightning Talks
それぞれ個性のあるＬＴで場がなごみました。
The atmosphere was melt by LT’s characteristics.
じゃんけんプレゼントタイム Present time
スタッフＴシャツ・島根県観光セット・各種ノベルティなどなど、たくさんのお土産を持って帰っていただきました。
Girls got a lot of souvenirs, for example staff T-shirts, Shimane sight seeing set, and novelties.
アフター・パーティ After party
参加者、コーチ、スタッフによるパーティ。お料理ユニット『タパタパ』の宝石ケーキに大感動でした。
Participants, coach and staff enjoyed the party and they are so impressed by jewel cakes.
